László Tóth says:

I’ve been flying hot air balloons for years, so it was only natural that I would take photos from the basket of a balloon. I love the abstract views that nature creates, or that man creates, so that from above you never really see what they’ve created. Unfortunately, you can’t always fly a hot air balloon; it’s a team effort, and the weather also plays a significant role. That’s why I bought a drone, which I fly when the conditions are right.

I’ve visited this area several times, and you can find beautiful formations there. I searched for this “head” as my next target using Google Maps.

When I went there once, I found it easily and tried to capture a photo from the best angle. This figure is actually a joint creation of man and nature, which can only be understood from the air.

I’ve been to this spot again, but then the landscape was completely different. I think I’ll be looking for my little turtle friend more often in the future.

I instilled my love of nature in the air that surrounded me as a child in the woods and fields of the countryside. I’ve always been interested in birds. In my hometown, we researched the urban settlement of the long-eared owl. For years, we set up artificial nests in the area, where the birds successfully raised their young.

Recently, I’ve been volunteering for bird conservation work in Bükk National Park, where I’m participating in the reintroduction of protected species. I set myself the goal of luring the Blue Warbler, Szalakóta, a little further along, beyond the edge of the protected nature reserve, into the woods and fields surrounding my hometown.

To prevent the completion of every photo from being left to chance, I started setting up ambushes for myself. I love capturing the fleeting moments that are not easily visible to the average person with the naked eye, so that the long hours on the lookout shrink to fleeting minutes.

I became infected with flies in my adolescence. Forever. I fly with everything I can. I take most of my aerial photos from a hot air balloon, which moves slowly, has no windows, doesn’t buzz, and flies in the most beautiful light, morning and evening, making it the ideal way to photograph. Unfortunately, this flight is rare; you need a team, and the weather is also a very important factor. So I expanded aerial photography to include drone photography, which I now use for my photos.

I also experiment with the photos I like best, and the smaller or larger successes I achieve encourage me to keep going, but no prize or ranking is as important as the wonder of the dawn you experience in nature!
