César Llaneza Rodríguez says:

During the flowering of primroses, in a swampy area of Lugones, Asturias, Spain, the bacteria Lepthotrix Discophora proliferates. This bacteria oxidizes metals such as iron, chromium, and manganese, generating a layer of biofilm of iridescent colors. I have been creating an artistic series on this topic for several years and I noticed that when I moved in the water the layer broke into smaller particles floating and spinning at full speed. I had the idea of looking for a contrast between the movement of the particles and the stillness of the flowers. The movement of the particles captured in a long exposure creates a painterly appearance that reminds me of some of the lines that Vincent van Gogh made. Subsequent editing was done through contrast, slight saturation, and sharpening adjustments.

César Llaneza is a 44-year-old Spanish photographer who loves creative photography of nature and intimate landscapes. Like many other photographers, he was drawn to the grand landscape, but quickly discovered a preference for the intimate landscape, where he felt much more comfortable and able to produce creative and imaginative images that he felt he could consider his work.

In his work he uses a wide variety of creative photographic techniques to reveal symbolism in abstract subjects, ICM, personal adjustment of white balance, external lighting, sequential multiple exposures, and the use of striking colors and shapes, to suggest and excite. He brings contrasts to his photographs through color temperatures, exposure settings, and state changes that continually occur in nature.
