Alexey Korolyov says:

Dandelions have a recognizable appearance. They are tall, and straight with a fluffy head. They grow close to each other and often form symmetrical and well-composed rows. Dandelions in the image are an example of such formation. Applying the in-camera multi-exposure function helped me to emphasize the concepts of rhythmicity and arrangement. When I photograph plants and flowers in particular, I am always trying to keep in mind their character and the associations my subjects evoke.

This image is created using the in-camera multi-exposure function. Multi-exposure is often thought of as a toy that allows you to create fun special effects. However, it is a powerful tool for self-expression. It allows you to show in a single frame what you feel or think, but what you can’t technically capture in a single shot.

Russia

Amateur nature photographer from Russia. Born in 1983. Impassioned in photography since 2009. I am particularly inspired and fascinated by plants, details, and designs found in nature. I prefer abstract compositions and intimate landscapes over wide-open vistas. While being outdoors with my camera I am always trying to find harmony in nature chaos. My aim is not to create a documentary copy of reality but to find unusual perspectives, create thought-provoking work, and awaken emotions. Though I am not a conservationist photographer, I do hope that my pictures contribute to more appreciation for nature and evoke an attitude of care towards it. My images have been awarded in the most prestigious international competitions in the world such as GDT European Wildlife Photographer of the Year, Big Picture, Montphoto, Glanzlichter, and Golden Turtle. My interviews, articles, and images have been featured in major nature photography magazines like The Elements Magazine, Asferico Magazine, Roots, Outdoor Photography Magazine, and others.
