In the summer I live at my summer cottage by the sea in Oravais, Finland. I see beautiful sunsets almost every night. Yes, it is beautiful with sunsets in the sea. But there are usually hundreds of pictures of sunsets appearing on social media every night. So I thought I’d experiment with making a slightly different sunset image. I started by testing different double exposures but then I realized that if I turn the camera upside down in one of the images, I get a small effect of a reflection. And that’s how this picture came about.

I graduated as a photographer with my degree of Finnish vocational qualification in nature photography from Axxell in 2018. I work full-time as a waiter/host in a mansion and also worked for a few years as a photography teacher and also held photo shows and lectures. In my spare time, I try to photograph as much as I can. I like to be out in nature in my home region and take photo trips to Lapland, Sweden, and Norway. I prefer to photograph nature and landscape images as well as ICM images. I have received several prizes for my photos in various photo competitions from Finland, Norway, and the USA, for example.
