During a bird-ringing trip with my friends to the Hungarian Tápióság, I saw these roe deer on the top of a hill next to us. As the sun was setting, my immediate thought was to capture a backlit photo, with very high contrast. There was not much time to make it happen, as in a few minutes all the light disappeared. The deer started walking around from one group, but they split up very soon. Just as I thought I missed the opportunity for an interesting photo, they regrouped again for a few moments.

I grew up near a forest my whole childhood and this swiftly made me interested in animals and nature. At first, I started taking photos, to capture the different species, only for documentation purposes. But later, I started taking an interest in the artistic aspect of nature photography. After a few years, I started going to competitions and taking it more seriously. At the moment I am studying in high school and my interest shifted more toward landscape and mountain photography, while maintaining the level in animal photography.
