Gaetano says:

I made this picture at a popular Sydney (New South Wales) dive site called “Bare Island”.
Little known to many divers is the location of a cleaning station where you can often find large fish getting serviced by several Eastern Cleaner Clingfishes (Cochleoceps orientalis Hutchins). In this case, a very friendly and relaxed Blue Groper (Achoerodus viridis) was having the gills and the mouth cleaned, using strobes at minimal power, the red focus light, and low shutter speed I was able to shoot several pictures including several details of the cleaning action without disturbing the cleaning.

I was born in Italy in 1977, I lived by the sea my entire life, always fascinated by what lay beneath the surface I had a mask/googles within my beach toys for as far that I can remember. I bought my first underwater camera even before getting my open water course. I dive (mostly shore dives) every time I can. I moved to Australia for work in 2006 and lucky for me diving in the Sydney harbor is incredibly good with many diversified dive sites.
